No. 9 Ranked Benedictine Sweeps Heart Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

The No. 9 nationally ranked Benedictine College Ravens swept this week's Heart Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards.

Chanterra Allen was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week, while teammate Kiera Russell earned the Defensive Player of the Week honors.

The Ravens went 2-0 last week, with a 23-3 win over the University of St. Mary and a 19-1 win over Midland. Allen scored a total of 11 goals in the two victories, four against USM and seven against Midland. The Ravens are now 3-0 on the season.

Russell helped control possession throughout the two games, as she collected eight draw controls. She also had five goals and two assists.
