(RV) St. Ambrose Sweeps Heart Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

The (RV) St. Ambrose University women's lacrosse team swept this week's Heart Women's Lacrosse Weekly awards, announced on Monday. 

Teammates Anabelle Brown and Sophie McPeek earned the awards, as Brown was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week and McPeek was awarded the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Brown and the Fighting Bees went 2-0 last week, with a 19-5 win over the University of Wisconsin-Stout, 19-5, and a Heart victory over Missouri Valley, 23-8.

The junior had 12 goals and three assists collectively in the two games. She scored six against Wisconsin-Stout and five against Missouri Valley.

McPeek picked up 12 ground balls in the two games and scored a goal against Missouri Valley.
