No. 10 Benedictine Sweeps Heart Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards on Monday and No. 10 ranked Benedictine College swept the awards.

Chanterra Allen earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, the other two occurred on March 11 and March 4.

Teammate Kiera Russell was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season as well. 

Allen and the Ravens went 2-0 last week, with an 18-12 road win at Ottawa and a home Heart win over Culver-Stockton, 22-1.

For the week, the sophomore scored 14 goals and had five assists. Her 14 goals came on just 24 shot attempts. 

Russell and the defense picked up their third-straight win and improved to 4-0 at home. For the week, the sophomore picked up 18 ground balls and scored four goals and had three assists.
