WinWon Women's Soccer Players of the Week - August 28

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the first edition of the WinWon Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards of the 2023 season.

Shannon Catchur of Clarke University was selected the Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Sophia Hollaway of Baker earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.

Catchur and the Pride went 1-0-1 to start the season last week with a 1-1 tie against Viterbo (Wisc.) and a 3-1 win over Judson (Ill.).

The Valparaiso, Indiana native scored three of the Pride's four goals on the week, including the game-winner against Judson.

Holloway earned a shutout against Friends (Kan.), 0-0, last Wednesday and had seven saves in the draw. She followed that up with nine saves in the 2-0 loss against Mid-America Christian, 2-0.
