WinWon Women’s Soccer Players of the Week Announced – September 11

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards on Monday.

Rachel Beffa of (RV) Benedictine College was selected the Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Alicia Zamora of No. 8 nationally ranked Central Methodist University earned the Defensive Player of the Week award.

Beffa and the Ravens picked up two more victories last week, an impressive 10-2 win over Avila (Mo.) and a 3-0 shutout over Concordia (Neb.).

The senior from Kansas City, Mo., scored four goals in the win over Avila and one against Concordia.

The Eagles also had two wins last week, a 3-0 shutout over Missouri Baptist and a 4-3 win over No. 16 ranked John Brown. Zamora scored the game-winning penalty kick in the win over the nationally ranked Golden Eagles last Saturday. She also scored a goal in the win over Missouri Baptist.
