No. 9 Central Methodist Sweeps WinWon Women’s Soccer Players of the Week

Two members of the No. 9 nationally ranked Central Methodist University women's soccer team swept this week's WinWon Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards.

Kirstine Lykke captured the Offensive Player of the Week honor, while teammate Alicia Zamora earned her second Defensive Player of the Week award of the season.

Lykke scored three goals on the week for CMU, including one in the 4-0 win over Baker and two in the 3-1 win over No. 18 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene.

Zamora also won this award back on September 11. This past week, the senior scored on a penalty kick in the shutout victory over Baker and the defense allowed just 11 total shots in their two victories last week.

The Eagles are now 7-1-1 overall and 3-0 in Heart play.
