Korzenecki, Wetterstrom Selected WinWon Women’s Soccer Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday.

The duo to earn the awards includes Kirsten Wetterstrom of No. 24 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University, who is the Offensive Player of the Week and Mackenzie Korzenecki or (RV) Benedictine is the Defensive Player of the Week.

Korzenecki earned her fifth-straight shutout in goal for the Ravens last week, with a 1-0 victory over Clarke.

The sophomore had seven saves in the win and has yet to surrender a goal in four Heart matches this season.

Wetterstrom also won the Player of the Week award back on September 18. This past week the Pioneers defeated William Penn, 4-1.

In the victory, the junior scored two goals and had an assist. She attempted five shots with three on goal.
