MNU Sweeps WinWon Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

(RV) MidAmerica Nazarene swept the weekly awards, as Kirsten Wetterstrom was selected the Conference Offensive Player of the Week and Cali Schechinger earned the Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

This marks the third Player of the Week honor of 2023 for Wetterstrom. The junior recorded a hat trick for the Pioneers, in their 4-0 win over Baker. Then against Graceland on October 28, the Olathe, Kansas product scored a goal and had an assist.

Schechinger and the MNU defense had two shutouts last week and didn't allow Graceland to any shot attempts in a 3-0 win.

The senior scored a goal against Graceland and had an assist against Baker.

The Pioneers have earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Heart Conference Tournament.
