Heart Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon Announced – September 2

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart Women's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon, for the second week of the 2024 season.

Alayna Chandler-Gutierrez of Culver-Stockton College earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Avery Young of Baker University was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

Chandler-Gutierrez and the C-SC Wildcats went 2-0 last week, with a 5-0 win over Stephends College (Mo.) and a 3-1 road win at Harris-Stowe State (Mo.).

The junior from Valley Center, California scored five on nine shots for the week, including four goals against Stephens.

The Baker Wildcats earned a tough road win at Ottawa on August 30, 1-0. The freshman goalkeeper recorded eight saves in the win, in her first-ever collegiate shutout.
