Carrasco, Korzenecki Capture Heart Women’s Soccer Players of the Week presented by WinWon Announced – September 9

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart Women's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon, for the fourth week of the 2024 season.

Emily Carrasco of No. 18 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week award, while Mackenzie Korzenecki of (RV) Benedictine College captured the Heart Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Carrasco and the Pioneers opened up Heart play with a 4-2 win over Graceland University on Saturday. The senior scored all four goals for MNU in an impressive match. She scored four goals on just seven shot attempts.

Korzenecki and the Ravens went 2-0 last week, including a Heart season opening win over Culver-Stockton, 2-0.

The junior goalkeeper posted two shutouts in goal with a total of six saves.
