Heart Women’s Soccer Players of the Week Announced – October 28

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Soccer Player of the Week award winners, presented by WinWon on Monday.

Ashley Arribas of No. 18 ranked Missouri Valley College earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Mackenzie Korzenecki of Benedictine College garnered the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.

Arribas and the Vikings won their first Heart regular season championship since 1993 last week with wins over Baker, 3-0, and Graceland, 3-1.

The senior scored in both games, with two goals against Baker and one against Graceland.

Korzenecki and the Ravens picked up two big wins last week, with a 3-2 win over No. 6 ranked Central Methodist University and a 1-0 win over William Penn. It marked her seventh shutout in goal in Heart play this season, the most by any goalkeeper in the conference.
