Final Heart Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Awards of 2024 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its final Heart Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards of 2024 on Monday afternoon.

Morgan Catchur of Clarke University was selected the Heart Offensive Player of the Week, while Avery Young of Baker earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award.

Catchur and the Pride defeated Grand View, 2-1, on Halloween to secure the No. 4 spot in the upcoming Heart Conference Tournament.

The senior scored the game-winner in the victory over Grand View. Clarke will host No. 5 MidAmerica Nazarene on Tuesday at 7 pm.

Young recorded her second-straight shutout in Baker's 2-0 win over Park last Saturday. The victory helped the Wildcats secure the No. 7 seed in this week's Heart Conference Tournament.

Baker will travel to No. 2 Benedictine on Tuesday in the Heart Quarterfinals.
