Park University Sweeps Heart Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors

A pair of Park University Pirates swept this week's Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field weekly honors, as Lisha McKenzie was named the Heart Track Athlete of the Week and Bailey Turner earned the Heart Field Athlete of the Week award.

McKenzie, qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships in the women's 60m hurdles with her time of 9.14 at the Ichabod Invitational in Topeka, Kansas.

Teammate Turner, hit NAIA qualifying marks in both the long jump and triple jump at the Ichabod Invite, as she placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 11.44m and finished second in the long jump with a jump of 5.56m.

Both her personal best marks for the junior from Olathe, Kansas.
