2022 Heart Women’s Indoor Track & Field Postseason Awards Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference completed the 2022 Heart Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, February 19, and the Heart is now pleased to announce its Women's Indoor Track & Field Postseason awards.

The following awards were voted on by the Heart Track & Field head coaches:

2022 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year – Kenny Anderson – Central Methodist University

This marks the second-straight Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year honor for Coach Anderson. This season, he led the Eagles to their first-ever Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Conference championship, as they scored 156 total points, just ahead of second-place Grand View with 151.

2022 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Co-Assistant Coach of the Year – Lindsey Andrews – Grand View University

2022 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Co-Assistant Coach of the Year – Anthony Yates – MidAmerica Nazarene University

Grand View University's Lindsey Andrews was named the 2022 Co-Assistant Coach of the Year after helping lead the Vikings to a second-place overall finish at the conference championship. She shared the honor with MidAmerica Nazarene's Anthony Yates.

This marks the third-straight season that Yates has earned the Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year award.

2022 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete of the Meet – Andrea Ertz – Mount Mercy University

This is the second-straight Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete of the Meet award for Mount Mercy's Andrea Ertz. She was the Co-Award winner in 2021.

In the 2022 Championship, Ertz took first-place in three events, the women's one mile in 5:09.69, the women's 800m in a time of 2:15.49 and the women's 1,000m with her time of 3:01.81.

2022 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field – Field Athlete of the Meet – Carly Lindenmeyer – MidAmerica Nazarene

The is also the second-straight season that Lindenmeyer has been selected the Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field – Field Athlete of the Meet.

This season, she won the women's pentathlon with 3,298 points. She would continue to place third in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.60m and fourth in the women's long jump at 5.17m.
