2024 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Postseason Award Winners Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference completed the 2024 Heart Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, February 17 and the conference is now pleased to announce its Women's Indoor Track & Field Postseason awards.

The following awards were voted on by the Heart Track & Field head coaches:

2024 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Co-Coach of the Year – Jacob Connealy – Benedictine College

In just his first year as head coach of the Ravens, Coach Connealy led Benedictine to their first Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Conference Championship since 2016.

2024 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Co-Coach of the Year –Anthony Yates – MidAmerica Nazarene University

Coach Yates helped lead the Pioneers to a second-place team finish at the 2024 Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Conference Championship with 161 total points.

2024 Women's Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year – Devan Sawyerr – MidAmerica Nazarene

Coach Sawyer leads the sprints and hurdles athletes for MNU and led the squad to collect 55 total points for the Pioneers, including a first-place finish in the women's 200m, 400m and 4x400m.

2024 Women's Indoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Meet – Nikiwe Mongwe – MidAmerica Nazarene University

Mongwe broke a school record and conference record in the women's 200m race on Saturday in a time of 23.97. She also won the women's 400m in a time of 55.51.

2024 Women's Indoor Track & Field - Field Athlete of the Meet – Renee Finke – Central Methodist

Renee Finke of Central Methodist scored the most points of any female athlete on Saturday with 28.

She won the women's pentathlon with 3,591 points, as well as the high jump with a mark of 1.71m, she then placed second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.89.
