First WinWon Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week of 2024 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first WinWon Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week award winners of 2024 on Monday.

Central Methodist University swept both awards, as Kailey Johnson earned the WinWon Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award, while teammate Baylee Beard earned the WinWon Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Johnson took home first-place in both events she competed in last week at the CMU Open.

The senior place first in the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.38, hitting the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification of the NAIA National Championships. She also placed first in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:13.35.

Beard placed first in two events last week at the CMU Open, as she won the shot put with a mark of 12.80m and won the hammer throw with a toss of 53.19m. That hammer throw mark also hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification of the NAIA National Championships.
