WinWon Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its WinWon Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Allison Morris of Culver-Stockton College earned the Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award, while Madison Green of Grand View was named the Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Morris and the Wildcats competed at the Cornell Invitational last week and the senior won the 5,000m race walk with a time of 27:56.22, which hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the National Championships.

Green and the Vikings also competed at the Cornell Invitational. The senior won the women's hammer throw and the women's discus, while placing second in the shot put.

The West Des Moines, Iowa native hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the hammer throw with a throw of 50.25m, she also hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in women's discus with a throw of 46.19m.
