The Heart of America Athletic Conference is proud to announce the 2024 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Postseason award winners.
Each award was voted upon by the Heart Track & Field head coaches and are based on results from the Heart Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships held last weekend on the campus of Baker University.
2024 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year – Anthony Yates – MidAmerica Nazarene
Yates led the Pioneers to their sixth Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championship, but the first in his tenure as head coach. MNU earned a total of 169.50 points, just over six points ahead of second-place Benedictine College.
2024 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year – Jeff Barker – Mount Mercy University
Coach Barker and the Mustangs placed four overall at the Heart Championships with their 122 total points. Coach Barker is a distance coach for the Mustangs and the head cross country coach.
2024 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Track Athlete of the Meet – Nikiwe Mongwe – MidAmerica Nazarene
Mongwe had a stellar conference championship meet with a first-place finish in the women's 200m dash in a time of 24.03. She also won the women's 400-meter dash in a time of 55.74. The junior also took home first-place in the women's 4x400-meter dash.
2024 Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Field Athlete of the Meet – Reanna Green – MidAmerica Nazarene
Green won the women's long jump with a mark of 6.06m, as well as placed second in the triple jump with a jump of 11.48m.
