
Finke, Terpstra Earn First Heart Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week of 2025
The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its first Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week award of 2025, presented by BoxOut on Monday afternoon.
Renee Finke of Central Methodist University captured the Heart Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor, while Addisyn Terpstra of Grand View won the Heart Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award.
Finke competed at the Alexis Jarrett Invitational last week and broke the CMU school record in the high jump with a mark of 1.76 meters. That mark also placed fourth overall at the event and hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championship.
Her mark is currently No. 2 in the NAIA.
Terpstra and the Vikings competed at the St. Ambrose Battle in the Hive on January 10.
The sophomore won the 60m hurdles in a time of 9.04 and hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championship. The Newton, Iowa native has the fourth fastest time in this even in the conference so far in 2025.
