
Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Dayana Montenegro earned her second Heart Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor of the season, while Victoria Lutz of MidAmerica Nazarene earned her third-straight Heart Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Montenegro competed at the Washburn Open over the weekend and hit the NAIA 'B' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championships in both the 600-yard run and the 400m dash.
She ran the 600-yard in a time of 1:25.90 and ran the 400m in a time of 56.67.
Lotz also competed at the Washburn Open and hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the NAIA National Championships in both the weight throw and shot put.
The senior threw her personal best in each event, with a weight throw of 19.34m and a shot put of 13.88m.
She has been named the NAIA National Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for two-straight week's.
