Lotz, Straus Capture Heart Women's Indoor Athlete of the Week Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon.

For the fourth-straight week, Victoria Lotz of MidAmerica Nazarene earned the Heart Field Athlete of the Week, while Delaney Strauss garnered the Heart Track Athlete of the Week.

Straus ran the No. 1 time in the Heart in the women's 1,000m run on Saturday in a time of 3:05.09 to take home first place at the Luther Invitational.

The junior also won the 600-meter run in a time of 1:38.41.

Lotz placed first in both the women's weight throw and the women's shot put at the Bearcat Open, which is the site of the Heart Indoor Championship Feb. 14-15.

The senior hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of qualification for the National Championships in both events with a toss of 18.83m in the weight throw and a mark of 14.44m in the shot put.
