
Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Announced
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday.
Central Methodist University's Joana Vakasobudur was selected the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Rosjai Curtis of Park University earned the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Vakasobuduru hit the NAIA 'B' standard of qualification for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in three events last week at the CMU Spring Invite. She and her teammates broke the school record in the 4x100m relay in a time of 47.09.
She also hit the NAIA 'B' standard in the 200m dash with a time of 24.65 and she joined her teammates for the 4x400m relay hitting the NAIA 'B' standard in a time of 3:50.32.
Curtis also competed at the CMU Spring Invite, as the senior hit the NAIA 'A' standard in both the long jump and triple jump.
She broke the Park school record in the triple jump with a jump of 12.41m and she won the long jump with a mark of 5.89m.
