
Lotz, Straus Take Home Heart Women's Outdoor Weekly Awards
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Outdoor Track & Field weekly honors on Monday.
Victoria Lotz of MidAmerica Nazarene was selected the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, while Delaney Straus of Culver-Stockton College earned the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award.
Straus competed at the Cornell Invitational on Saturday and won the 400m hurdles with the second fastest time in school history at 1:05.12. She also placed third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.31.
Lotz won the hammer throw at the Midwest Classic meet last Saturday with a mark of 57.15m. She also hit the NAIA 'A' Standard of Qualification for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. She is currently No. 1 in the NAIA in the women's hammer throw.
