
Hested Earns Second-Straight Heart Setter of the Week, Henson & Russell Named Attacker and Defender of the Week
For the second-straight week, Mount Mercy University’s Hailey Hested was selected the Heart Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week, while Central Methodist’s Callie Henson earned the Heart Attacker of the Week and Evangel’s Eryn Russell is the Heart Defender of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

Hested reached a milestone last week, as she surpassed 1,000 career assists, just nine matches into her sophomore season at Mount Mercy.
The North Liberty, Iowa product helped lead the Mustangs to two victories last week, with a 3-0 win over Iowa Wesleyan and a 3-2 victory over Culver-Stockton, to improve to 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the Heart. In the victory over C-SC, she had 48 assists and 14 digs.
Henson and the No. 15 ranked Eagles, went 4-0 last week with Top 25 victories over No. 12 Bellevue and No. 18 Taylor.
The junior averaged 3.79 kills per set in the four wins and posted a hitting percentage of .404. She had 20 kills against Bellevue and 16 against Taylor. The Eagles also defeated Embry Riddle and Olivet Nazarene to improve to 6-1 on the season.
Russell and the Valor played four matches last week and she finished with 75 digs, averaging 5.36 digs per set. The Republic, Missouri native also broke the Evangel school record for career digs. As she now has 2,282 digs in her career.
