Madison McClain of Culver-Stockton College won her second Heart Attacker of the Week award of 2022, while teammate Lauren Bloom was selected the Heart Setter of the Week for the first time and Evangel's Vivianna Sanchez earned her second Heart Defender of the Week of the season.
McClain and the Wildcats went 3-0 last week, with four set wins over Graceland, Benedictine and Baker.
The Otterville, Mo. Native averaged 4.42 kills per set, while hitting .210 on the week. She also hit a career milestone last Saturday, with her 1,000 career kill. The senior also averaged 5.0 digs per set and had nine total blocks on the week. McClain also won this award back on September 19.
Her teammate Bloom, averaged 10.67 assists per set over the course of those three Heart matches. She totaled 128 assists and 30 digs, averaging 2.50 digs per set.
Sanchez and the Valor went 2-1 last week with three set wins over Baker and William Penn. The freshman recorded 22 total blocks, averaging 2.2 blocks per set. She also provided Evangel with 16 kills from the middle blocker position. Sanchez also won this award back on September 19.
