
Brauner, Henson of CMU and Davis of MNU Capture Heart Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honors
Two members of the No. 20 nationally ranked Central Methodist University women’s volleyball team took away Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball weekly awards on Monday, as Callie Henson was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week and teammate Krystal Brauner earned the Heart Defender of the Week, while Katrina Davis of No. 11 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene earned her third Heart Setter of the Week of the 2022 season.
Two members of the No. 20 nationally ranked Central Methodist University women's volleyball team took away Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball weekly awards on Monday, as Callie Henson was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week and teammate Krystal Brauner earned the Heart Defender of the Week, while Katrina Davis of No. 11 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene earned her third Heart Setter of the Week of the 2022 season.
Henson and the Eagles went 2-1 last week, falling to MNU, 3-1, then defeating Benedictine and Baker in three sets.
Henson averaged 4.5 kills per set and hit .434 in those three matches. She also collected eight total blocks. Her top match of the week came against nationally ranked MNU, when she had 16 kills, five digs and four blocks.
Brauner, averaged an impressive 6.1 digs per set. Her top digs performance of the week also came against MNU, as the Jefferson City, Missouri native had 25 digs and had six assists.
Davis also won this award back on October 3 and September 26. The Pioneers continued their undefeated season last week, as they defeated CMU and then took down Evangel in three sets.
The Leawood, Kansas product averaged 10.6 assists per set and 3.1 digs per set. She had 43 assists against the Eagles and 31 against Evangel. The Pioneers are now 21-0 overall and 14-0 in the Heart.
