
Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week – October 31
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 10th Heart Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week awards on Monday, as Delaney Miller of No. 20 nationally ranked Central Methodist was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week, while Savannah Crossland of No. 10 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene is the Heart Defender of the Week and Hailey Hested of Mount Mercy earned the Heart Setter of the Week.

Miller led the Eagles to a tough four-set win over Evangel last week, as the sophomore registered 16 kills, averaging 4.00 kills per set and hit .448 in the match.
She also had a team-high seven blocks and four digs.
Crossland has now won this award twice the season, the other coming on October 3. The senior led the Pioneers to two Heart victories last week, a five-set thriller over Benedictine and a 3-0 win over Baker. MNU improved to 25-0 and 18-0 in the Heart.
She averaged 5.75 digs per set for the week, with her 33 digs against BC and 13 against Baker.
Hested has now won the Heart Setter of the Week three times this season, the other two came on August 29 and September 5.
This past week, the Mustangs earned a big five-set win over Culver-Stockton on October 28. In the victory, the sophomore setter dished out 51 assists and had a double-double with 11 digs.
