Final Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week Announced

In the final installment of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week awards of 2022, Maria Eduarda Ramos of Park University was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week, while teammate Jullia Alvarez was named the Heart Setter of the Week and Krystal Brauner of Central Methodist earned the Heart Defender of the Week honors.

Ramos and the No. 13 ranked Pirates handed No. 10 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene their first loss of the season on November 1, then followed that up with a 3-0 victory over Benedictine in the 2022 Heart Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.

In the win over MNU, Ramos supplied the Pirates with 25 kills and averaged 5.00 kills per set, while hitting .296. She then had nine kills in the Heart Tournament win over BC.

Alvarez had 95 total assists on the week, averaging 11.88 per set. She had 61 assists and 11 digs in the win over MNU.

Brauner has now won this award three times this season, the other two instances on October 17 and August 29.

Last the week the Eagles ended the regular season with a four-set win over Missouri Valley and then defeated Grand View in four sets in the 2022 Heart Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.

In the win over Missouri Valley, the junior had 23 digs, averaging 5.75 digs per set. She then had a career-high in digs against Grand View with 38. The Jefferson City, Missouri product also had 11 total assists on the week.
