No. 1 MidAmerica Nazarene Defeats No. 2 Park in Five Sets for Heart Conference Tournament Championship

In an exciting five set match, the No. 1 seeded MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers defeated No. 2 Park University, (25-18, 19-25, 15-25, 25-20, 15-12) to capture their first Heart Conference Tournament title since 2015.

MNU has now won five Heart Conference Tournament Championships in their program's history, (2022, 2015, 2013, 2012 and 2011).

The Pioneers and Pirates have both secured a bid to the 2022 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship, as the Pioneers were the 2022 Heart Co-Regular season and conference tournament champions, while the Pirates garnered a berth as the conference tournament runner-up. Park and MNU split the regular season title, with their conference records of 18-1.

Park won the two previous Conference Tournament titles over Central Methodist in 2020 and 2021.

MNU improves to 27-1 on the season, while the Pirates fall to 26-4.

Both teams will compete in the NAIA Women's Volleyball Opening Round next Saturday, November 19.
