Heart Announces Molten Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce this week's Molten Women's Volleyball Players of the Week.

Two members of the Benedictine College women's volleyball team earned weekly awards, as Regan Bruggeman was selected the Heart Attacker of the Week and Amber Allen earned the Heart Setter of the Week.

Krystal Brauner of No. 18 ranked Central Methodist was selected the Heart Defender of the Week.

Bruggeman and the Ravens went 4-1 last week, with victories over Kansas Wesleyan (3-2), Avila (3-2), (RV) Indiana-Kokomo (3-2) and Lindsey Wilson (3-1).

The junior averaged 4.2 kills per set and had double-digit kills in each match, including 20 kills in the win over IU-Kokomo. She collected 86 total kills on the week.

Allen averaged 10.6 assists per set and accumulated 243 total assists in five matches. She also added 12 total kills, 38 digs and five blocks.

Brauner and the nationally ranked Eagles went 2-2 last week. In those four matches the senior averaged 5.67 digs per set and 1.07 assists per set. She had 41 total digs in the five-set match against Loyola (La.).
