Final Molten Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week of 2023 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced the final edition of the Molten Women's Volleyball Player of the Week awards of 2023 on Monday afternoon.

Callie Henson of No. 21 nationally ranked Central Methodist was selected the Conference Attacker of the Week, while Debora Bernardi of No. 7 ranked Park University earned the Conference Defender of the Week and Hailey Hested of Mount Mercy is the Conference Setter of the Week.

Henson had a terrific week for the Eagles, the senior averaged, 3.75 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .466.

The Jefferson City, Mo., product had a season-high 20 kills in CMU's win over Benedictine. For the week she had 30 total kills and 11 blocks.

Bernardi had 16 total blocks in the Pirates' 3-0 win over Benedictine and 3-0 win over Missouri Valley. The junior averaged 2.67 blocks per set and added 17 total kills, while hitting .444.

Hested averaged a double-double in assists and digs on the week. The junior collected 20 total digs and 78 total assists, averaging 2.50 digs per set and 9.75 assists per set. The Mustangs defeated William Penn in five sets and Culver-Stockton in three.
