2023 Heart Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Teams and Postseason Awards Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is excited to announce the 2023 Heart Women's Volleyball All-Conference teams and postseason awards.

The 13 Heart head women's volleyball coaches selected the following 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention teams, as well as the Heart Player, Attacker, Setter, Defender, Freshman, Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year.

2023 Heart Player of the Year – Callie Henson - Central Methodist University

Henson had an outstanding season for the Eagles. The senior averaged 3.09 kills per set and registered 303 total kills on the season. She has also posted a hitting percentage of .321 on the season.

2023 Heart Setter of the Year – Arianna Marino - Park University

In her first season with the Pirates, Marino was selected the Heart Setter of the Week four times in 2023. Marino averaged 10.34 assists per set this season and dished out a total of 1,096 assists for the Pirates.

2023 Heart Attacker of the Year – Callie Henson – Central Methodist University

Henson and the Eagles qualified for the upcoming 2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball Opening Round. The Jefferson City, Missouri native had 19 matches this season with double figure kills.

2023 Heart Defender of the Year – Krystal Brauner – Central Methodist University

Brauner was twice named Heart Defender of the Week in 2023. The senior supplied the Eagles with 542 digs this season and averaged 5.02 digs per set. She had double digit digs in 29 of the 32 matches she appeared in this season.

2023 Heart Freshman of the Year – Arianna Marino – Park University

Marino and the Pirates won both the Heart regular season and tournament championship and have qualified for the NAIA Opening Round this week. The Pinerolo, Italy native also had 304 digs and 2.87 digs per set this season.

2023 Heart Coach of the Year – Michael Talamantes – Park University

Coach Talamantes and the Pirates won their fourth-straight Heart Women's Volleyball regular season championship in 2023. He also notched his 400th career victory in the Heart Conference Tournament Championship victory.

2023 Heart Assistant Coach of the Year – Mateus Martins – Park University

The Pirates qualified for their 11th NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship appearance in 2023 and won their third Heart Conference Tournament last week with a 3-2 win over CMU in Parkville, Missouri.
