Milho, Alvarez, Campos Capture Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten.

Joana Milho and Rita Campos of No. 19 ranked Central Methodist were selected the Heart Attacker and Defender of the Week respectively, while Jullia Alvarez of No. 14 ranked Park earned the Heart Setter of the Week award.

Milho and the Eagles went 4-0 last week and the junior collected 61 kills in that four match stretch, averaging 4.36 kills per set. She also accumulated 29 total digs, averaging 2.07 per set.

Campos averaged 5.71 digs per set in the four victories, as she collected a total of 80 digs, including 26 in the win over No. 18 ranked Columbia (Mo.).

Alvarez and the nationally ranked Pirates also went 4-0 last week. The junior setter supplied Park with 141 total assists in those matches, averaging 10.85 assists per set. The Rio de Janeiro, Brazil product also had 51 digs, averaging 3.92 digs per set.
