Cahill, Franco, Oro Selected Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten on Monday afternoon.

For the second-straight week Haley Cahill of No. 25 ranked Benedictine College has been selected the Heart Setter of the Week, while teammates Ana Oro and Ana Franco of Missouri Valley College earned the Heart Attacker and Defender of the Week respectively.

Oro and the Vikings earned two nationally ranked conference wins last week, as they defeated No. 17 ranked Park, 3-2, and No. 25 ranked Benedictine, 3-0.

The senior had double-digit kills in all three matches and registered double-doubles with digs in each match. In the win over Park, she had 15 kills and 28 digs. The outside hitter averaged 3.46 kills per set on the week.

Teammate Franco, averaged 4.38 digs per set for the Vikings and had a perfect serve-receive match against nationally ranked Park. She had 22 digs in the win over the Pirates and four assists.

Cahill and the Ravens also had two victories against nationally ranked foes last week, with a 3-2 win over Park and a 3-2 win over No. 21 ranked Central Methodist, both on the road. The senior averaged 9.23 assists per set with 52 assists against the CMU Eagles.
