
Maassen, Hested, Miller Selected Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten

Annabelle Maassen of No. 21 ranked Central Methodist was named the Heart Attacker of the Week, while Kennedy Miller of Peru State earned the Heart Defender of the Week award and Hailey Hested of Mount Mercy was selected the Heart Setter of the Week.
Maassen and the Eagles went 3-0 last week with a home win over No. 17 ranked Park, 3-0, and three set road wins at Clarke and Mount Mercy.
The senior collected 31 kills on the week and hit .321. The Jefferson City, Missouri native also had 28 total digs, averaging 3.11 digs per set.
Miller and the Bobcats earned two Heart conference home victories last week with a five-set win over MidAmerica Nazarene and a five-set win over Baker.
The senior middle blocker had 18 blocks on the week, including 11 against Baker.
Hested broke Mount Mercy's all-time career assists record in a 3-0 win over Culver-Stockton last week with her 3,582nd assist.
For the week, the senior had 109 assists, averaging 10.90 assists per set.
