
Gonzato, Mathis, Cahill Selected Heart Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by Molten

Martina Gonzato of No. 21 ranked Central Methodist earned the Heart Attacker of the Week award, while Haley Cahill of No. 24 ranked Benedictine was named the Heart Setter of the Week and Emily Mathis of MidAmerica Nazarene captured the Heart Defender of the Week.
Gonzato and the Eagles went 3-0 in the Heart last week with a three set win over Missouri Valley, a four set win over Grand View and a sweep of William Penn.
The sophomore averaged 4.88 kills per set on the week and hit .436. She also tallied five blocks and seven digs.
This marks the third Heart Defender of the Week award of the season for Mathis. The freshman averaged 6.0 digs per set for MNU as they went 2-0 on the week. The Pioneers upset No. 25 Benedictine, 3-1 and defeated Culver-Stockton, 3-0.
Cahill averaged 9.30 assists per set on the week, with her 93 total assists. The senior also had 29 total digs and seven service aces.
