
2025 Heart Women's Wrestling Conference Championship Preview
The Heart of America Athletic Conference will host the 2025 Heart Women's Wrestling Conference Championship this Saturday, March 1 at the Penn Activity Center on the campus of William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
The championship will begin at 9 am on Saturday and tickets for the event are $10 per person.
All tickets may be purchased online before the event or at the gate of the PAC.
The following teams will be competing at the event, No. 18 Baker, (RV) Central Methodist, No. 19 Dickinson State, No. 2 Grand View, No. 8 Missouri Valley, No. 3 William Penn and (RV) William Woods.
Grand View is the four-time defending Heart Champions, as they have won all four Heart Championships, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
The Heart will also hand out some individual awards on Saturday, including the 2025 Heart Coach of the Year and Heart Conference Tournament Outstanding Wrestler award.
As well as the 2025 Heart Women's Wrestling Assistant Coach of the Year, Wrestler of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards.
Each conference tournament awards automatic bids per weight class based on the final regular-season poll, which can be seen HERE.
Each conference is awarded automatic berths based on the amount of wrestlers ranked in each weight class. Each conference is awarded a minimum of one automatic bid per weight class, which will go to the tournament champions, even if the conference did not have any wrestlers ranked in the final regular-season poll.
After the conference tournaments have concluded, a 12-member committee consisting of conference raters and oversight members will meet to select the remaining at-large qualifiers, which will be released Tuesday, March 4th by 5 p.m. (CST). The seeding and preliminary brackets will be announced on NAIA.org by 5 p.m. (CST) on Friday, March 7.
The Heart will earn 41 automatic qualifiers (AQ's) to the 2025 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship based on the following weight classes.
103-pound – 4 AQ's
110-pound – 5 AQ's
117-pound – 7 AQ's
124-pound – 4 AQ's
131-pound – 4 AQ's
138-pound – 5 AQ's
145-pound – 3 AQ's
160-pound – 2 AQ's
180-pound – 5 AQ's
207-pound – 2 AQ's
The entire Heart Championship will be live video streamed on both mats with commentary.
This year, we are excited to bring a new way to experience wrestling in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Throughout both days, we will be providing a "Multiview" broadcast filled with action from both mats, mat assignments, and a play-by-play announcer to keep you up to date on any big matches as they happen!
Both mats will have their own dedicated broadcast if that is your preferred viewing experience. The Championship final matches will be available on the Multiview broadcast on Saturday afternoon and will feature a multi-camera broadcast as the race for a champion concludes in Oskaloosa.
