Heart Cross Country Runners of the Week – September 13, 2021
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week awards on Monday, as Morgan Lawson of Grand View and Christian Davis of Evangel are the first winners of 2021!
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its first Heart Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week awards on Monday, as Morgan Lawson of Grand View and Christian Davis of Evangel are the first winners of 2021!
Davis captured the individual crown in the 8K at the Cottey College Invitational last Friday with a time of 27:16.
The Lakeland, Michigan native raced past all 41 runners in the event and led the squad to a first-place team finish.
Lawson placed 4th out of 147 finishers at the Luther All-American Invite on Saturday. She ran a personal best time of 19:10 in the 5K. The Vikings finished 5th overall.
