First Heart Cross Country Runners of the Week of 2024 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is excited to announce the first winners of the Heart Men's and Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards of the 2024 season.

Doriye Jackson of Central Methodist University earned the Heart Men's Runner of the Week award, while Delaney Straus of Culver-Stockton College captured the Heart Women's Runner of the Week honors.

Jackson and the Eagles competed at the Great River Open meet, hosted by Culver-Stockton College last Friday.

The senior won the 5K event in a time of 15:37.

Straus also competed in the Great River Open and won the women's 4K event in a time of 14:44. She broke the C-SC program record in the 4K, which was a time of 18:30.
