Mount Mercy University Races to the 2024 Heart Women’s Cross Country Conference Championship

The Mustangs hosted the championship at Seminole Valley Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The event featured a 6K race for the women's race.
Rory Bickler of Clarke University won the individual crown, as she ran the race in a time of 22:27.
Abby Knepper of Mount Mercy placed second overall with a time of 22:37 and Kalin Rotzoll of Mount Mercy took home third with a time of 22:38.
Four-time defending Heart champion Benedictine College placed second and Baker University took home third place as a team.
Mount Mercy head coach Jeff Barker was selected the Heart Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Mount Mercy has now earned an automatic bid to the 45th Annual NAIA Women's Cross Country Championship, November 22 in Columbia, Mo.
Runners who finished in the Top 10 of each race were named to the Heart First Team All-Conference. Finishers 11-15, earned a spot on the Honorable Mention All-Conference teams.
